Review:
On first viewing the trailer I was immediately giddy to see a new post-apocalyptic film The Road Warrior Spirit. Being a fan of the genre, will be used to Lone Wanderer recurring theme so prominently used. I thought this film would go through the same formula, but ready to enjoy myself.Yes did use the lone wanderer as a plot driving techn ki, and yes, it moved randomly turn. Yes all of the survivors are supported on T-shirts, but they live in a lot of skin and eye protection. Yes everything in this picture looks and feels like a typical after apocalyptia. But the substance of the story is much more powerful, then I might never have expected.Without reveal too much, yes it really is a Christian metaphor. Eli seems to be protected by a mysterious force, led by God in the West. But what is the meaning behind this bizarre plot certainly makes this film so great. It 's really a film about faith and believe in yourself. Using the sad post-apocalyptic scenario, the film is able to reverse this powerful message with hard ground. Even in the midst of despair, can lift and capture anything. In a world that is slowly becoming apocalyptic itself, this message is very welcomed.The other aspects of lending authority Book of Eli and the technical content of it. The cinematography is simply beautiful. Moody slo-mo shots abound with wonderfully toned colors. Everything looks dark and dead, the sun beating down on the endless dusty dunes. The soundtrack adds immensely to this feeling, using environmental agreements and soft drums action-explosion scene when needed. Overall The Book of Eli movie itself large and super lap after apocalyptic. Oh yeah, and Denzel Washington actually manages to pull off a part of your wizened, old bad ass.
