Review:
When The Mummy hit theaters in 1999, critics everywhere much that it is a poor mans Indiana Jones. Although the two films are so similar and not for Dr. Goldeneye (thankfully), I suppose comparisons between one non-stop adventure film and other unavoidable. Ultimately, it is important to determine the quality of the picture is at a level that can be fun. And if there is one thing, The Mummy doing well, it's fun. Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo very well chosen for their roles. The Mummy Returns is easy to see that another sequel churned out to fill the greedy money Hollywood machine that has happened, but there are some things that work for him. One thing that is immediately clear is that the extension is widely expected to be a film that can be enjoyed without having seen the original. The only references to the images is done to fill the gaps in the history of IMHOTEP is and why it is how it is added Scorpion King was an interesting attempt to give the film a new brake, but the lack of screen time does not work well in this respect favor. Another tangent that could be better developed competition between IMHOTEP girlfriend and what is said. IMHOTEP confused originally Rachel Weisz sign that his girlfriend reboot, so the use of a woman who looks exactly like her, but the creation of this new T inherited tangent to develop differently. Most people care about complex tangents and history will want to know if this movie is fun. And it's fun, is not it. There is hardly a dull moment in movies considerable duration and Oded Fehr is bang up job of providing the Mad-Max-cum-hero Indiana Jones. I want to know when they will get those groovy costumes and tattoos, they look pretty good. Nevertheless, when all is said and done, there's eight of ten films. Several poorly constructed story details here and there, but some really fun action scenes done for them. Do not listen to the Nay-Sayers. This is matinee-style material (almost) its best. Get the DVD when it comes out, it will at least tide you over to George Lucas gets his head O , r his proverbial and realize that the era of VHS has long expired.
